How to Check Chunghwa Soft Pack Packaging Under UV Light
Ultraviolet (UV) light can provide a useful additional reference when checking the packaging of Chunghwa (Zhonghua) soft-pack cigarettes.
Two areas that can be compared are the decorative marking on the pack and the English lettering on the side. These observations should be treated as supporting information only, rather than definitive proof that a pack is genuine or counterfeit.
1. Check the Decorative Marking
Examine the decorative marking on the soft pack under UV light.
On an authentic reference pack, the marking may show little obvious colour change. On a suspected counterfeit pack, a more noticeable colour change may appear.

2. Check the English Lettering
Next, examine the English lettering on the side of the pack.
Under UV light, the lettering on an authentic reference pack may turn blue and remain visible for around 20 seconds before returning to its normal appearance.
A suspected counterfeit example may not show the same change, or the effect may disappear more quickly.

A Useful Supplementary Check
UV inspection is only one way of comparing packaging. Differences may occur between production batches and market versions, so other packaging characteristics should also be considered.
