How to Check Chunghwa Hard Pack Packaging
Chunghwa Hard Pack Authenticity Guide
Small details on the original packaging can be useful when comparing a Chunghwa hard pack with a suspected counterfeit. Three areas are particularly useful to examine: the origin marking, the tear-strip tab and the front-pack printing.
1. Origin Marking
As shown in the image, the genuine pack is above and the counterfeit pack is below
On genuine packaging, the origin marking is normally accurately registered. The pattern should be sharp and the diagonal lines should have consistent spacing.
On counterfeit packaging, the registration may be uneven, the pattern may appear blurred and the diagonal lines may not be evenly spaced.
2. Tear-Strip Tab
As shown in the image, the genuine pack is on the left and the counterfeit pack is on the right.
The tear-strip tab can also provide a useful comparison point.
A genuine pack normally has a regular semicircular tab with a smooth edge, whereas a counterfeit example may have a less regular shape and a rougher finish.
3. Front Printing
As shown in the image, the genuine pack is above and the counterfeit pack is below
The Tiananmen Gate Tower design has a noticeable tactile quality on genuine packaging. The lines are clearly defined and vary in thickness in a controlled manner.
Counterfeit printing may have less noticeable texture, with rougher or less precise lines.
Packaging characteristics may differ between production batches, so several details should be considered together rather than relying on one feature alone.
